In January 2023, I completed a project of arranging spirituals for solo piano at the late intermediate / early advanced level. These beautiful melodies were created in the crucible of suffering during the nineteenth century, and they had tremendous import in the development of our national music styles. I debuted a part of the set in Idaho at a recital in February.

New hymn arrangements are now available for purchase and download. They are available here and SheetMusicPlus.com.  New (revised) titles include "O, the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus," "This Is My Father's World," and "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty."

Ryan is performing recitals of twentieth-century American music such as Copland's Passacaglia, Barber's Nocturne and Ballade, Gershwin transcriptions, Muczynski's Desperate Measures, and others.
